Went to Wasai class today.
本日、和裁のお稽古日でした。
I have been struggling with the same momen (cotton) kimono for about three months.
Today I unstitched the same part twice... and finally my teacher did the difficult part for me.
I wonder why the length of right and left body parts which were cut in the same size comes out to be two different lengths when they are done.
So challenging!
今の木綿着物を縫い始めて三ヶ月ですが、なかなか進まず。
今日は同じところを二度解いて…最終的には先生に縫ってもらう羽目に。
同じ長さに切った布を同じように縫っていて、なぜ左右の長さが違ってくるのか⁉︎
むずかしい…
After the lesson, had a lunch at a nearby cafe.
They have a nice small garden and stained glasses and I enjoyed them while having my sandwich.
教室のあと、近くのカフェで軽く食べて帰りました。
坪庭とステンドグラスが素敵なお店。
今までも何度か寄せてもらっていましたが、この席に座りたかったので嬉しい。
古い建物を活かしている良い例ですね。
我が実家も何かできないかな。
