前回から一週間近く空いてしまいました。
平日は残業が続いて毎晩フローリング で寝落ち、連休はひたすらお布団の中で。
まだまだ体力つけないとですね。
気を取り直して、旅の記録を続けます。
It's been almost a week since my last post.
I had a tough week and spent whole day in bed for these two days.
Now let's get back to my travelogue.
熊野古道が終わり、舗装された道に出た！と思ったら、また階段
After walking through the rock staircase, there were another staircase to climb.
まだまだ階段
And another stairways.
Finally got to the entrance of Kumano-Nachi Taisha(shrine)!
やっと那智大社の入り口…遠かった…
と思ったら、まだ登るのね…涙
(階段の上の方にいるおじ様、なんと駆け上がってはりました！）
But there were still stairs waiting for us.
Now it's a real goal! Kumano Nachi shrine!
ようやく辿り着いた熊野那智大社。
今更ですが、那智大社は、熊野三山のひとつで、他の二つは、熊野本宮大社、熊野速玉大社です。
数年前、三社参りを目論んで夫とツーリングに出たものの、本宮大社のみで時間切れで帰ってきたことがありまして。
いつか機会があれば、と思っていたのです。
今回、ふと思い立って電車と徒歩で那智大社に来てみました。
そして思いついて熊野古道も歩いてみたのですが、こんなに石段と階段だらけだとは…
ちなみに、バスは熊野古道の出口あたりまで行くので、バスで終点まで乗る方が早くて足にも優しいです（苦笑）
Kumano Nachi Taisha is one of the three main shrines in Kumano district of Wakayama, and those are all world heritage sites.
Several years ago my husband and I visited Kumano Hongu Taisha on our motorcycles. We wanted to visit two other Kumano three but we run out of time unfortunately.
This time I suddenly got an idea to visit there by train and walk just a month before the trip.
I didn't know that there would be such many stairways ahead of me.
(Just for your reference, the bus from Kiikatsuura station goes to directly to the Shrine. It would be much better for your knees and legs!!)
Looking back the path we took to get there. The shrine is really high in the mountains!
登ってきた道を振り返ると…高い（冷や汗）
せっかくなので護摩木を焚いてお参り
A wooden stick to burn with written prayers on it.
導きの八咫烏社
Yata-garasu (three-legged crow which guides people to the right way)
大樟の胎内くぐり
A camphor tree with big hollow.
When people go through this hollow, they will be born again and live new lives.
Why not try it!?

Almost there!
But before heading to the falls, I needed some gasoline! I was starving...
Soba noodles and Mehari sushi, a specialty food of Kinan district of Wakayama. 
Green tea and sweet mochi (rice cake)
Zenzai(sweet bean soup and mochi)
Overloaded...
滝はすぐそこ！
ですが、これまで散々歩いて腹ペコ…
お昼ごはんがまだだったのです〜
お蕎麦と紀南地方の名物、めはり寿司。
そして熊野三山でしか買えないという、「もうで餅」
その後別のお店でお善哉。
食べ過ぎや！
という声が聞こえてきそうです（苦笑）
朝、くろしお一号に乗ってから何も食べずに歩き通しでしたので、ひと口食べたら弾みがついて…汗
さて、お腹が満ちたら、今度こそ、滝はすぐそこ！
フラグです（笑）
そして、このタイミングで、今日はここまで。
体力もたず、すみませ〜ん。
