先週末の三連休、電車に乗って那智の滝と紀伊大島に行ってきました。
On the last three days off, I visited Nachi-falls and Kii-Oshima by train.
This is the train I got on!
"Kuroshio" the limited express runs from Kyoto to Shingu City in Wakayama.
The first Kuroshio of the day was of special Panda design! How lucky!
It was actually a good beginning.
この日のくろしお一号は、なんとパンダくろしお！嬉しいです〜思い出してもこれが楽しい旅の始まりの合図でした。

The famous sea front station, Mirozu station.
I used to pass the nearby road, Route 42, on my motorcycle.
海に近い駅として有名な、見老津（みろづ）駅。
バイクで来たい場所です。
と言いつつ、この駅のすぐ海側を国道42号線が通っていて、昔はよく走っていました。
紀伊勝浦駅で電車を降り、バスに乗り換えたら、熊野古道の入り口、大門坂へ。

A tourist in period costume passed by.
She said it's a rental costume and not bad.
(She allowed me to take her photo and use it in my blog.)
平安時代の装束に身を包んだ観光客の方とすれ違いました。
レンタル衣装だそうです。草履の足元も、わりと歩きやすいですよ、ですって。
とてもいい雰囲気だったので、お許しをもらって写真を撮らせてもらいました。
