Today was my Wasai lesson day.
Wasai is Japanese dressmaking method specialized for Kimonos and other wafuku types clothes.
Now I'm working on a cotton kimono for myself.
本日、和裁教室に行ってきました。
八年前に習い始めたのですが、数年間お休みしていて、一昨年の夏、再開しました。
今は木綿の単衣を縫っています。
が、この色を選んだことを激しく後悔中…目が…目がぁぁぁ…
年齢と共にね、色々あります。
それに、買った当初はまさか自分で縫うとは思わなかったんです（苦笑）
完成はまだまだ先になりそう。
I have regrets over that I chose this color.
It looks great on me but it is too hard for me to sew with black thread that matches the fabric. Black thread on dark purple is just like invisible thread.
I guess it would take some more time to finish this kimono.
And this is today's kimono.
Tsumugi of floss silk and Nagoya obi.
It's also a second hand kimono.
