Sorry for taking so long till I finish this one article. But I really want to share these informations with you!
During Obon period, my husband and I went on a riding to Koyasan on our Super Cubs.
It became our annual event in summer.
毎日ちまちま書いていると、時間が足りない〜今回はまだお盆の頃の話です。
ここ数年、夏の高野山が恒例となっております。
せっかくなので道中の素敵なお店をご紹介。
まずは、おむすび屋さん。
地元の学生さん達が地域と協力して建てた茅葺き屋根の建物に目が釘付け！
数年前に見かけて気になっていたのですが、今回初めて立ち寄りました。
On the way to Koyasan, there's a little Omusubi(rice ball) stand with thatched roof.
Very unique shape.
茅葺き屋根の建物…にしては独特の形ですよね。
中はこんなに茅がむき出しなのですね。
茅葺き屋根の内側なんて見ることもなかったですが、初めて知ることがたくさんありました。
屋根裏はむき出しでも大丈夫なのですね。このままでも雨水は入らないんだそうです。でも、空気はしっかり入れ替わる。（天井は、もちろん、天井板を貼ることもあるようですが、ここでは貼られていませんでした）

I didn't know that those bundled straws were not covered at all. (Of course some other thatched roofs have ceilings but this house doesn't have that.)
Thatched roofs won't let water come through them but they help the air in and out the house.
Had omusubis at the wooden table outside the shop.
そばに設置されていたテーブルでおむすびをよばれました。
（「よばれる」って、関西弁らしいです…いただく、ご馳走になる、という意味）
※このお茶はもともと持っていたものです。
Omusubis with Umeboshi(dried and pickled plum), corn, fried konjac and Kinzanji-miso.
写真では分かりませんが（カメラ下手でごめんなさい）、具は、梅干し、マヨコーン、こんにゃく唐揚げ、金山寺味噌、です。

帰りの道中では…
夫さんが道端に立つ看板を見つけて停車！（夫さんにしては実に珍しい出来事なのです。夫さん、常に目的地に向かってノンストップの人なので…かつてはそれが原因で迷子とか、喧嘩とか…苦笑）
行ってみると、素敵な古民家カフェなのでした。
And on our way home, we found a lovely cafe in a valley.
It's named after the village where the cafe is located.
鞆渕（ともぶち）はこの辺りの地名です。
築130年以上の古民家をリノベーションした、落ち着いた雰囲気のカフェです。
こちらのマダムがとても素敵な方で、楽しいお話をたくさん聞かせていただきました。
We had iced coffee for each and shared a milk pudding. But we should get one for each! It was soooo goood!
アイスコーヒーとミルクプリンを。
プリンは二つ頼めば良かったです…絶品！次に行く時は必ず一つずつ頼もうと誓いました。
そんなわけで、身も心も満たされての帰宅でございました〜
We came home very satisfied and with full stomach 😋
One additional information.
There's a glamping site near this cafe. We don't usually go camping (because it's too troublesome to prepare all those things for camping!), so it might be better for us to use these lodging facilities.
今回は暑過ぎてカブの写真どころではありませんでした。少し時期をずらして行くべきだったかもしれませんね。
カブの写真代わりに、おまけの情報を。
こちらのカフェトモブチのすぐ近くに、つい最近、グランピング施設がオープンしたそうです。
私たち夫婦はキャンプには行ったことがないのですが（だって装備やら準備が…ねぇ…）こういう施設を利用すれば良いのかも！
（その前に、断然旅館派の夫さんを説得する必要があります…難題や〜）
